Felipe Aroca
Felipe Aroca is a founding partner of AROCA VIVES Lawyers. His professional practice focuses on tax planning and international investment.
Felipe has extensive experience in legal advice for foreign investment, family wealth planning and in the fiscal structuring of corporate reorganization projects, mergers, acquisitions and business collaborations.
Recent activities include tax consultancies to local and international companies in real estate investment projects, infrastructure and project financing. Likewise, the structuring and implementation of different financial or corporate vehicles is highlighted, in order to optimize financially and fiscally the resources of its clients
He is a member of boards of directors in commercial companies, family councils and trade associations. He is an active member of the International Tax Association (IFA and the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT).
Within his academic experience he stands out as a professor of Tax Law at the Law School of the Externado de Colombia University for more than 15 years, as well as being the academic coordinator and professor of taxation specializations at the Universidad del Norte, director of thesis of the master’s degree in taxation of the Free University of Barranquilla and professor at the Autonomous University of the Caribbean, among other constant academic participations in Colombia and abroad.
He is a lawyer from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, where he also obtained the titles of Master in Tax Law and specialist in Tax Law. He completed a Diploma in Business Finance from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). He has command of English.
