Uproar over Supreme Court ruling changing how pension contribution weeks are counted.

The tax expert Felipe Aroca warned that the Supreme Court of Justice, by changing the way in which the weeks contributed are accounted, makes many lawyers go out through social networks to present “a table of salvation” for the recovery of unaccounted weeks.

He stated that the law in Colombia establishes that pension contributions are for a period of 30 days, but this does not correspond to the calendar year, since that way only 360 days are added up and not 365 or 366 days, so the Supreme Court’s ruling last January generates a real stir.

“The National Government must intervene in this matter”, considered the lawyer Aroca.
